Group Manager – Surface Water

If you are experienced in the surface water sector and passionate about leading a team to drive positive change in sustainable water management, then this role could be a great fit for you.We are looking for a skilled Group Manager, Surface Water, specializing in Floodplains, WSUD, or Stormwater, to help expand our operations in Adelaide. Key responsibilities include:
  • Building and enhancing client relationships in the SA region
  • Providing high-quality expert advice and managing stakeholders internally & externally
  • Overseeing the tendering, performance, and delivery of hydrological and hydraulic modelling studies
  • Leading a team to execute exciting and innovative technical projects with support from other teams as necessary
  • Being the team lead for shared group projects within the company
  • Recruiting new team members in SA as required and in alignment with the business plan
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated experience in a water-related field (ideally 5+ years post-graduation)
  • Experience in consulting or project management
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Established relationships within the water industry in South Australia
  • Good business acumen along with technical expertise
  • Advanced technical skills, including flood (TUFLOW, MIKE) and hydrologic (RAFTS, URBS) modelling packages
  • Excellent customer service orientation and a dedication to achieving outstanding results
  • Effective communication skills to guide, advise, and consult as needed
