Position summary


Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three regional delivery consortia providing services under Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program.

Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

An exciting opportunity to lead the Joint Venture has presented for a seasoned business, strategic and operational leader.

With a geographic spread across New South Wales this role will provide an opportunity for the successful incumbent to lead, manage and inspire this business to deliver company objectives for strategic growth, sustainability, performance, optimisation and to meet our objective for quality and safety.

As the head of this team, you will work alongside our client representative and together with the Senior Leadership Team deliver against our shared vision for success.

As an integral member of the Leadership group, strategically you will have input to the development and implementation of business strategies with a longer
- term focus (typically 1-5 years). Functionally you will have accountability for the development and implementation of strategic business plans aligned to achieving the business performance objectives and strategic growth targets. You will lead the Confluence Water team in achieving the required business performance objectives together with maintaining strong client relationships and pro-actively engaging with your peers to leverage strategic opportunities.


As a financially astute business leader you will be instrumental in the ownership and achievement of operational budgets and financial outcomes.

A natural people leader will see you coach, develop and identify succession within your team and throughout the organisation.

ABOUT YOU
Proven experience at a general and/or senior management operational level within a large infrastructure environment, you may be seeking the next challenge in your career

Experience in identifying and pro-actively developing client markets both new and existing including the development and implementation of longer - term business

Experience in working within a multi-divisional/cross functional team leveraging on capabilities

Sound negotiation, influencing and decision-making capabilities

Demonstrable experience in leading, coaching and developing teams and individuals

Team player working collegiately with peers to maximise business results and opportunities

Strong financial acumen including exposure to project costing and analysis and commercially astute

Change management capabilities and the ability to work within a complex changing landscape

Experienced in navigating through a large complex matrix business and managing stakeholders within a joint venture or alliance environment.
