The Financial Systems and Control Crew is a PACE (Agile) crew consisting of five Squads. We work in close partnership with Technology and partnering with Business within each Squad to effectively prioritise and deliver better outcomes sooner and more safely for our customers.

Our Sub-Ledger Squad purpose is to

Integrate source data to the new Sub-Ledger and general ledger.Be trusted partner for Business, delivering the right traceable data at the right time to the right people, in the right format, (reconciled, trusted) Provide Financial Control over data

The role reports to Sub-Ledger and Platforms Chapter lead and works closing with the Product Owner of the Sub-Ledger Squad.

The purpose of the role is to assist in the onboarding of the Bank's multiple payments and source systems onto the Sub-Ledger for accounting functions, support change and resolve issues once systems are onboarded. You will support change initiatives and testing for integration partners up and down stream.

Do work that matters

Deliver divisional strategic system projects and finance BAU enhancements Establish and uplift upgrade management capability that negates expensive, large upgradesDeliver system to system integrations from source systems to the new Sub-Ledger and the Group's General Ledger for all new products/features/tools used by the front-line to support customers (e.g. on boarding new products, product features and new applications etc)Responsible for Finance Systems portfolio consisting of accounting subledger and integrations to all other applicationsExploit finance systems capabilities to offshore teamsIdentify system and control gaps and develop action plans to address theseTake a portfolio view across project identifying synergies and dependenciesCoordinate with support partners (Service Management, OMNIA, RTF) in delivering ongoing maintenance releases for Finance Systems and Controls CrewParticpate in metrics oversight and capacity planningDevelop automated testing capability to fast-track releasesPromote a high performance culture and provide excellent customer service e.g. Business Plan & Culture Plan initiatives.Champion Productivity (and process improvement) across the team, driving collaboration, coaching & recognition.Contribute to the assessment of dependencies and effectively manage associated risk and compliance implications of requirement and solutions

Large finance systems project experience including general ledger and reconciliationExtensive Financial Services industry experienceCross Functional Management of multiple Business UnitsProject and change management experience in a large organisation across business, technology and financeStrong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detailSQL ExperienceProcess improvement skillsStrong influencing and negotiation skillsMotivation to take the initiative to self-solve and/or seek advice from peers to solve problemsAbility to work in a rapidly changing landscape to agile timelinesRelevant business and/or technology undergraduate tertiary qualificationsDesirable: CA/CPA qualificationDesirable: recognised industry certifications/accreditations in project management theory and methods.
