Senior Systems Engineer – SAP

Our Retail Technology team are responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of the bank – from product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business
Within Retail Technology you'll act as a trusted technology and digital partner, supporting product teams to optimise existing propositions, bringing the power of digital banking to every customer. You'll work in an Agile environment and sit in a unique position at the intersection of many teams. Envisioning new technologies that are still waiting to be invented and reimagining products that support our customers and help build Australia's future economy.
This is no ordinary System Engineering function. This is where we built Australia's number one banking app, and then rebuilt it. Where we developed Cardless Cash, Benefits Finder, StepPay and Spend Tracker. And continue to simplify and evolve them.

You will be:

implementing SAP solution design and driving the end-to-end implementation aligning the enterprise architecture direction.Working closely with SAP Platform teams ensuring the alignment with the platform strategic vision and direction.Accountable for the quality of the Build Inventory Items assessed as being of high complexity; and to govern designs within your domain.Collaborating and influence business stakeholders for consulting design advice.Contributing to team/squad workshops, discussions and ceremonies.Providing constructive feedback and guidance as part of functional and technical changes supporting multiple squads.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

Have strong experience in SAP Solution Design implementationExperience in process analysis/modelling, process mapping and information analysis/modelling, planning, design, testing and system integration, using industry standard techniques in a complex business environmentFamiliar with working in an Agile environment.Devsec ops mindset of design and run

Tech skills:

Advanced understanding of SAP Banking Services (Release 9 minimum, TRBK nice to have)Expert SAP configuration skills.Design and testing of real-time web services (both SOAP and OData)Expert understanding of SAP Banking Services data model at table levelGood understanding of real-time streaming solutions.Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis/modelling, process mapping and information analysis/modelling, planning, design, testing and system integration, using industry standard techniques in a complex business environment.
