Product Owner - Batch Payments

Business Banking's (BB) purpose is to improve the financial wellbeing of our customers and community through deep connections, compelling propositions and exceptional execution.

The Team

The Payments domain in CBA brings together the process, people and technology assets supporting real-time, bulk electronic, cheques, high value and international payments processing for the Bank. The team have the monumental task of ensuring that 40% of the Australian economy are able to transact over $90 billion a day using the Bank's services in a reliable manner. With the payments technology systems being at the heart of the Bank, almost every customer-facing channel relies on payments services in one way or another. The Batch Payments crew manages a range of payment products including Direct Entry, BPAY, and cheques.

Do work that matters:
As a Product Owner in Batch Payments, you will lead and define the product vision, goals and roadmap, ensuring maximum output and quality from the squad, with a focus on cheque products and applications. You will also need to apply domain expertise to support prioritisation and successful achievement of business and squad objectives.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development of product roadmaps and engage with stakeholders/business units to manage delivery.Define product vision and goals in collaboration with customer and stakeholders.Apply expertise to support prioritisation, balance trade-offs and successfully achieve business and Squad objectives.Accountable for end-to-end value delivery and product lifecycle management.Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations.Drive product exploration and formulate hypotheses to validate product strategy.Support team metric improvements i.e. team health, agile maturity in partnership with Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters.Identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across streams of work.Maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes.Engage business and technical stakeholders to ensure prioritisation is understood and agreed to.Manage the Squad's performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc.

Qualifications & Experience :

Have proven Product Owner or Product Management experience, preferably payments relatedIs experienced in definition of product roadmaps, delivery of product visionIs a strong communicator, both Verbal and WrittenExperience with Agile methodology and PACE model would be idealHave experience managing Risks and Product Compliance.
