At CGH, we are on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and interns. The selected candidate will be involved in critical care, emergency departments, and general ward areas to address operational requirements. We promote flexibility within our ever-growing health service and emphasize the continuous growth of our pharmacy team members to achieve our objectives.

Our pharmacists engage in various functions like Oncology, Haematology, rural outreach services, acute Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Paediatric, Obstetrics, and Gynaecology. Additionally, they actively participate in education and quality improvement initiatives across the health service. The pharmacist will work from 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with on-call and weekend rotations.

Key Selection Criteria:

Mandatory:

  • Current Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHRPA) registration as a general pharmacist
  • Excellent clinical skills, pharmaceutical knowledge, and attention to detail
  • Experience in hospital patient management and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong computer skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in Emergency and Critical Care
  • Credentialing or progression towards credentialing as an ANZCAP pharmacist
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification

Other:

A Police Record Check is mandatory before finalizing the appointment, to be updated every three years. Additionally, a Working with Children check may be necessary for this role. The Position Description undergoes an annual review to align with evolving requirements.
