Our facility is situated in a picturesque coastal region, providing a unique backdrop for both work and leisure.

This role offers invaluable exposure and hands-on experience necessary for developing the competencies required of a Medical Registrar. The Medical Registrar will be involved in the care and management of both medical and admitted patients.

The position requires flexibility to work AM, PM, weekend, and night shifts within the acute medical ward, which includes overseeing patient admissions and management under the guidance of senior medical staff. Additionally, the role involves responding to emergency situations, including MET calls and Code Blues.

Responsibilities also extend to managing patients in the Infusion and Treatment Unit (ITCU) and those enrolled in the Hospital in the Home (HITH) program. The Medical Registrar will provide clinical assistance to the haemodialysis unit, collaborating with specialists in nephrology and acute medicine. Opportunities to engage with subspecialty units, including consultations with visiting infectious disease experts and participation in gastroenterology clinics, will also be available.

The Registrar will take an active role in mentoring junior medical officers and medical students within the acute medical ward. Please note that this is an unaccredited registrar position.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
  • Relevant certified qualifications
  • Working with Children's Check (Victorian)
  • Police check dated within a year of first presentation
  • Current Immunisation and supporting documentation
  • 100 Points of certified Identification
  • CV with two relevant and recent references or referee contact details
  • Provider and Prescriber Number
