Valuation NSW is currently seeking a
Manager Valuation Business Systems to join the Business Improvement Unit.

Valuation NSW are an agency within the Department of Planning and Environment. We provide valuation services and support to the NSW Valuer General and NSW Government.

This includes managing the operations of the NSW land valuation system and determinations of compensation in the compulsory acquisition process.

We are also Government's leading source of land valuation advice.


The Manager Valuation Business Systems leads a team of systems and data specialists to manage and maintain corporate data systems, analytics functions, and spatial platforms.

The Manager sets the standards for data modelling and provides strategic advice on data and system analytics to support the delivery of Valuation NSW objectives.


About you


You are an experienced leader with a proven track record of success in the operational management of complex database environments.

You have experience planning and managing business intelligence activities and ensure that data management and business intelligence processes are fit for purpose.


You have extensive experience and technical expertise in the areas of business analysis, system analysis and electronic service delivery of information.

You are confident working in a technically complex environment, providing expert strategic and technical advice to senior executives to influence decisions regarding ICT initiatives and innovation.

You are an experienced, values driven team leader.

About Us


The
Valuer General is an independent statutory officer, appointed by the Governor of New South Wales to oversee the State's land valuation system.

VNSW provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW

This includes:

  • Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxation purposes along with the determination of compensation through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld.
  • Monitoring, quality assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991; and
  • Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as/when required for other cluster or statewide government partners.
  • Provides professional leadership and stewardship to the valuation industry.
