The Property Acquisition Manager will undertake high level negotiations with private landowners, corporate entities, and government bodies on behalf of our development business and look to secure new opportunities that align to our strategy across a range of different property types throughout NSW, Queensland, and Victoria.


Directly reporting to the Property Development Director, this role is best suited to an outcome focused, enthusiastic self-starter who thrives working collaboratively within the wider team and with our clients.


You will need to have comprehension and reconciliation of broader project inputs including town planning, design, and client objectives to incorporate into acquisition objectives.


  • The Property Acquisition Manager is a fulltime position based in Sydney or Newcastle._

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, source and secure suitable real estate acquisitions and/or divestment opportunities in NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
  • You have great research and investigation skills and are thorough in the documentation of findings and outcomes.
  • You are emotionally intelligent, articulate and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • You can effectively lead and complete negotiations with private landowners, corporate entities and government bodies.
  • You are able to comprehend and reconcile broader project inputs including statutory approvals, design and client objectives.
  • Prepare & present business cases, and feasibility assessments and present them to internal stakeholders and the executive team.
  • Complete due diligence on proposed sites that clearly demonstrates the financial viability, including sales and capital forecasting.
  • Maintain a database of client information.
  • Manage the annual valuation process for the development team.
  • Work with agents to prepare sales packages on existing stock.

Knowledge & experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a site acquisition role
  • Tertiary qualification in property/law/real estate (preferred, not essential)
  • Experience in leading communications and negotiations with private landowners, corporate entities and government bodies.
  • Experience in developing financial models to present to the development directors.
  • Estate Master (DF) or other modelling skills.
  • Outcome focused, adaptable and motivated to deliver innovative solutions.
