Valuation NSW (VNSW) is currently seeking an
Executive Officer to join their team.


As the
Executive Officer, you will provide a range of high-level executive, secretariat, and project support services to Senior Executives across the business, including providing strategic advice, managing communications, and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.


About You
To be successful in this role you will;

  • Prepare, manage and review the provision of highlevel communications and executive/ministerial activity, briefing notes, media contact, submissions, reports, publications and contentions issues, ensuring timely and accurate information and responses
  • Act as the point of contact on behalf of the Office of the Valuer General, liaise with staff, executives and external stakeholders to action requests and/or coordinate these requests
  • Implement, monitor and report on strategic, operational and project plans to inform decision making.

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of Parliamentary and Cabinet processes and the machinery of government
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience delivering policy outcomes, strategic planning or performance improvement in a complex, sensitive and highvolume environment with strong writing skills.

About Us

The
Valuer General is an independent statutory officer, appointed by the Governor of New South Wales to oversee the State's land valuation system.

Valuation NSW provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW

This includes:

  • Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxation purposes along with the determination of compensations through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld.
  • Monitoring, assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991; and
  • Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as and when required for other cluster or statewide government partners.
