About the Role

The purpose of this role is to manage BOQ Finance lease assets through their lifecycle ensuring that residual risk investment is realised, and secondary income targets are met.


The Remarketing Officer is responsible for the administration of the asset sale process and communication of the results to key stakeholders.

The individual will develop and maintain the relationships with all remarketing service providers and drive specific asset maximisation actions ensuring income from end of term is maximised.

These remarketing channels are third party providers who specialise in specific collateral types. They include dealers, brokers, internet remarketers and auction houses.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achieve annual secondary income targets through executing on the remarketing channel plan and the asset management strategy and plan.
  • Drive superior returns and service by managing partners to agreed SLAs and service standards.
  • Assist with the onboarding activities for new Remarketing Service Providers.
  • Monitor the portfolio management rigour and communicate any key asset risks are highlighted within the portfolio and managed appropriately.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide guidance and support for sales functions.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all key Remarketing Service Providers.
  • Ensure audit and operational risk framework is in place and tested regularly.
  • Assess the service and support needs of the business and partners on an ongoing basis
  • Actively work with Residual Risk Analyst to provide input to deal risk assessment and Residual Value setting.
  • Processing & monitoring clearances and contract reconciliations to ensure timely turnaround to stakeholders.
  • Manage inventory ensuring inventory aging remains below target.
  • Ensure invoicing for assets is performed in a timely fashion to minimise risk.
  • Support management in deal and product related analysis.
