About you
As our, Risk and Compliance Officer, you will contribute to divisional and business unit outcomes through your proactive and pragmatic advice, good people skills and ability to advocate better practice

You possess the following:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field e.g. compliance, business or regulation
Demonstrated experience within a regulatory compliance role, preferably in the Education or Health industry
Experience in conducting audits
Ability to multi-task and balance priorities in a complex fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to identify key issues.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, the Risk and Compliance Officer is a technical expert who possesses expertise across a broad range of governance and corporate practice in a public or private sector setting.


Some of your responsibilities include:
Assist with the risk & compliance framework, planning systems, and processes.

  • Supporting the development and delivery of compliance education and framework training where necessary.
- assist other business units as required with compliance framework, planning and processes.
- maintain registers, and records ensuring that RACGP has full visibility of reporting requirements.
Administration support
- assist in establishment and maintenance of LRC systems, as needed to help ensure it remains up to date and can be used to manage the risk & compliance frameworks of the organisation.
- develop and maintain system supporting documentation such as training materials, staff communications and user guides.
- support staff to manage and maintain RACGP's LRC dashboard and reporting.
- assist with LRC related reports.
- provide risk, compliance & quality administration support.
Critical and Adverse Incident reporting (including compliance reporting)
- working against project/programmed plans, liaise with relevant 'task owners' to collect information or ensure they discharge their duties to meet deliverables and reporting requirements.
- conduct internal reviews to maintain operational compliance with RACGP's policies and procedures. Report on all findings, recommendations and non-compliance to the respective senior manager and the Senior Manager Risk & Compliance.
- monitor recommendations and areas of non-compliance from internal reviews.
- where possible, automate reporting within RACGP's information systems to alleviate and streamline programmed work.
- work with management and staff to design and develop these systems and protocols.
Support all RACGP business units in meeting effective compliance management by
- ongoing compliance monitoring.
