About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Market Operations Analyst to join the AGL team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Market Operations Manager, the Market Operations Analyst will provide functional and operational support to the market-facing retail business-to-business and metering processes. This includes monitoring of the operational performance of metering coordinators, managing of metering volume requirements, supporting the back-of-house metering process delivery and execution, and providing subject matter expertise to market/ industry and regulatory changes relating to Connections operations.

About you'll be doing:

  • Business owner for metering processes across all jurisdictions.
  • Key decision maker for the management and delivery of metering process changes.
  • Support electricity and gas metering process delivery and execution.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and impact assessment to market/ industry and regulatory changes.
  • Establish appropriate networks within the business to provide insight into metering and market facing issues or risks that may impact on the successful delivery of operations.

What you'll bring:

  • Industry knowledge including regulations and industry operations.
  • Strong stakeholder and interpersonal skills i.e. ability to notice, interpret and anticipate others 'concerns and communicate this awareness empathetically. Ability to adjust approach accordingly to deliver business outcomes in a people focused way.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on detail.
  • Planning and Organisation: The ability to define, track and maintain set goals.
  • Ability to develop requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources.
  • including analytical results and feedback from stakeholders and wider business.
