We have a newly created role available for an experienced Applications Business Analyst to join our IT Project Team in our Cremorne Support Office.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity, is perfect for an accomplished and organised team player with a background in business analysis within the Retail space.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the IT Business Analyst role will see you involved with multiple fast-paced projects as you work on requirements analysis, business requirements documentation, processes and proposed solutions, User Acceptance Testing support and the development of End User Documentation. You will be expected to communicate with the business, coordinate and facilitate meetings, provide necessary documentation in accordance with the project framework, communicate with external partners, and be heavily involved in the hand over to support teams. Initiatives will also need to be managed from time to time as we push to deliver outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Business analysis, Requirements Gathering

  • Identifying and collating business requirements using a range of methods including but not limited to workshops, interviews, brainstorming and focus groups.
  • Undertaking gaps analysis between current state (As Is) and future state (To Be)
  • Creating business and use cases, user stories, technical and functional requirements, and concept design documents.
  • Facilitating business and technical requirements sign off with stakeholders and vendors.

Solution Acceptance and User Acceptance testing

  • Working alongside Project Managers to create requirements traceability, solution acceptance and benefits realisation criteria.
  • Providing business analysis support throughout testing activities and where required, creating UAT and SAT plans and sign off criteria.

Project / Initiative Delivery Management

  • Ensuring the project scope and priorities are managed in collaboration with Project Manager.
  • Managing smaller scale projects / initiatives as/when required.
  • Establishing standards for BA work in the group as we interact with other Departments
  • Planning and managing the implementation of change requests through change management process, this may include being involved in training as required.
  • Completing Solution Overview documentation and ensuring handover to Business Applications (IT) and Business Teams at the conclusion of project.
  • Working to create ways of measuring and monitoring success.
  • Need to be prepared to travel as and when required.
  • Ability to work in an Autonomous way and being focused on results.

Maintaining Relationships

  • Maintaining internal stakeholder relationships throughout the project.
  • Providing regular project related updates to all required parties.
  • Maintain vendor relationships to ensure on-time deployment of changes.

To be successful you will ideally have the following:

  • Demonstrated 5yrs+ Applications Business Analysis background with proven delivery capability within the retail industry
  • Understanding of ERP and Ecommerce applications in a retail landscape
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Strong ability to work at pace, and to adapt to project pipeline adjustment/changes as required.
  • Proven experience of working across multiple projects concurrently and of varying complexity with competing deadlines & priorities.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Business Analysis principles and tools
  • Excellent Facilitation Skills and ability to simplify complexity as this is relayed back.
  • Knowledge and experience of AP21 ERP systems would be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a can-do team-player attitude
  • Excellent Analytical & organisational skills
  • Advanced Stakeholder management and team engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical & decision-making skills, also in taking initiative.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office 365 and Project Tools.
  • Ability to work well with in a Team as well as individually.

To be successful for this role, you must have the "Make It Happen" attitude as you work with a highly motivated and driven team.

This is a full-time role requiring you to work from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday in office. The role does require flexibility to accommodate project delivery and responsibility as and when needed.
