The Role

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Category Manager or healthcare experienced Non-Clinical operations manager to join the Procurement team at Epworth HealthCare


In this Full-Time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for the selection and relationship management with non-clinical service providers and suppliers, with a strong focus on value for money and margin improvement opportunities.


The role will focus on the development of competitive pricing, establish a robust sourcing and vendor management capability and manage vendor performance to achieve quality products and services.


You will make an impact by:
Developing, leading and executing category plans, strategies and frameworks

Ensuring that category management stakeholders fully understand and agree/approve plans

Lead and drive continuous performance improvements, change management and best practices

Demonstrating a deep understanding of the supply markets for categories under responsibility and leading discussions with stakeholders

Analysing spend data and identifying procurement opportunities to reduce costs or increase value

To be successful in this role

You will need to have a minimum of 5-years' experience working in strategic procurement and/or operational management experience. Previous experience working with broad and complex categories and strong capabilities to influence stakeholders is highly desirable.

You will have:

Excellent relationship building skills with a customer centric attitude

Strong analytical skills will ability to communicate and present outcomes

Ability to prioritise workloads

A driven self-initiative approach to work with an appetite to find opportunities and deliver outcomes
