About the role:
This role provides strategic advice, support, management, and oversight of the Optus Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). This role directly manages the Optus DISP obligations.
This role requires an extensive and informed knowledge of the DISP as well as the DSPF and ISM processes, system security architecture best practice, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
The role provides a fundamental input into the Optus security environment and as such has a reporting line to the Optus CISO.
This role requires direct engagement at Optus Director and Board level to ensure Optus is able to meet DISP obligations.
This role is directly responsible for ensuring Optus maintains DISP compliance.- Responsible for all aspects of DISP management relating to Optus environments impacted by Defence contracts.
- Collaborates with the Manager Satellite
- Security & Industry Engagement and other Optus ASO's to ensure Optus DISP compliance.
- Works closely with relevant Optus BU and subcontractor functional area specialists to ensure appropriate security solutions are engineered and deployed in all environments to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and DISP requirements.
- Serve as a DISP consultant and expert to ensure project teams comply with DISP policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and manage the delivery of DISP engineering processes, programs, and artefacts.
- Manage the Optus DISP obligations (People, Physical, ICT and Governance).
About you:
- Gain and maintain appropriate Defence Security Clearance (Aust Citizen)
- Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Education, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Management, MBA, or Technology.
- 3 years of experience as a Defence Security Officer and DISP principles.
- Experience with core infrastructure components such as TCP/IP, VPN, file transfer and remote administration protocols.
- Knowledge of DISP regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Advanced level understanding of enterprise security platforms.
- Experienced in the creation and maintenance of network diagrams (DISP / DSPF / ISM / OSI model).
