We are seeking an innovative, energetic and person-centred leader who has a family violence background, to assist DPV to evolve our family violence services to benefit our community'

The Program Manager – Family Violence is an integral member of the leadership group within DPV and within the Mental Health, Family and Community Directorate. Providing both strategic and operational leadership to Orange Doors and Men's Behaviour Change program.

As the Program Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality interventions that target improved safety, wellbeing, enhanced functioning and empowerment using your knowledge of trauma informed care and safety.
  • Identifying system improvements, business development and supporting the team through change management.
  • Leading improvements in team integration, elimination of duplication/waste, outcome measurement reform, learning and growth of staff as well as contributing to the successful delivery of directorate key performance indicators.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience as a leader in a family violence service
  • Well demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to lead and manage a program and the capacity to plan work, motivate staff and monitor performance within the requirements of family violence sector and work culture
  • Ability to initiate and organise responses to government policy direction and departmental requirements and to develop high quality submissions
  • A strong commitment to clinical excellence and creating a culture that delivers on excellence

We are accepting applicants from a range of disciplines, and will be required to demonstrate an appropriate qualification:

  • Occupational Therapists:
    • Registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
    • An approved Degree from a recognised school of Occupational Therapy or other qualifications approved for eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapy (Vic.).
  • Social Workers:

An approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

  • Registration under the Australian Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act with the Psychology Board of Australia. General registration with a clinical psychology practice endorsement.

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
