Quality and Education Coordinator

Location: Unley

About the Role: The Quality and Education Coordinator is crucial for maintaining and improving aged care quality standards within our organization. This role oversees the quality and education program, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of constant enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management Systems
  • Develops and reports on internal monitoring and auditing to validate the system
  • Develops and reviews audit templates following internal procedures
  • Completes quality audits and supports services to carry out assigned monitoring as per schedule.
  • Monitors compliance with Compliance and Improvement Action plans
  • Identifies opportunities for system improvements
  • Implements corrective actions to enhance processes for providing care and support to consumers and staff on a daily basis.
  • Learning and Development Coordination
  • Develops and maintains the training matrix
  • Ensures timely delivery of L&D initiatives
  • Efficiently manages time and priorities to uphold all organizational service standards.
  • Assists in preparing the annual Learning and Development Plan in collaboration with the People and Culture team, subject matter experts, and the wider Human Resources team
  • Directs the implementation of the Learning and Development program and upkeep of the Learning and Development calendar
  • Assists in developing, delivering, and managing training programs, related records, and materials
  • Handles all statutory, planned, and ad-hoc training requests
  • Implements Life Care's Career Development Program
  • Collaborates with external training providers when necessary
  • Ensures all L&D programs align with Life Care's vision and values.
  • Learning Reporting and Governance
  • Manages staff training and records files
  • Coordinates statutory training requirements by reporting regularly and scheduling training to meet legal standards
  • Follows up on online Mandatory Training as needed, including:
  • Identifying incomplete mandatory training
  • Providing sites with a report and ensuring completion
  • Establishing systems for tracking and generating regular reports on learning and development, including attendance and feedback
  • Enhancing Consumer Experience
  • Introduces Quality Management System changes to bring about positive systematic changes benefiting staff and consumers through innovation and technology
  • Drives consumer-driven outcomes using the plan-do-check-act process
  • Enhances systems to involve consumers actively in decision-making regarding their care and services
  • Actively engages in a feedback culture responsive to consumer experience
  • Contributes to developing systems and processes that evolve with consumer engagement

About You:

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desired)
  • Internal Auditor training experience (desired)
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with Aged Care Quality Standards and ISO 9001:2017
  • Experience in quality, education, risk, and governance systems
