  • Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery for process infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and coordination of a Quality Management Plan, including quality planning and improvement for a major project. Committed to developing a culture driven by safety, quality and continuous improvement, your highly developed teamwork and interpersonal skills will be central to success in the role.
  • This is initially a Perth based role with intermittent site travel that will transition into site based (FIFO) role as the project progresses into execution.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the project quality requirements as documented in Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Quality Management Plan (QMP) and monitoring project quality performance
  • Reviewing and confirming that key quality documents such as SOW, contractor / supplier quality plans, Inspection Test Plans and MDR templates are reviewed and accepted prior to commencement of associated works
  • Monitoring all contractors' compliance to the agreed Quality Plans and processes via ongoing surveillance and audits for both offshore and onshore packages
  • Coordination of a surveillance team to conduct audits and inspections for offshore fabrication and offshore procurement for Contractor and Company supplied items.
  • Coordination of surveillances and execution of inspections for local onshore fabrication and onsite works carried out by Contractors and the Company as defined in project scope.
  • Providing inprocess inspection of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with the drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards
  • Engagement in Criticality Rating Assessment workshops, development of quality surveillance plans and implementation of most fitforpurpose inspection programs
  • Final verification of contractor construction quality through continuous monitoring of the construction process, including surveillance points, reporting, and verification of installation and performance checks and tests as required by the project documents. Raising of Nonconformances as required.
  • Collaboration with the project team to ensure fit for purpose processes and tools are available to achieve the project scope, cost and schedule requirements.
  • Building and maintain strong working relationships with all contractors and stakeholders including Quality function, Construction and Engineering
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or strong technical background with experience in the Resource sector.
  • Previous experience with welding, coating and structural steel inspection is highly desirable
  • Technical proficiency relating to site quality surveillance in a project environment including nonconformance management.
  • Previous experience with coordinating a team of Inspectors. Specifically offshore surveillance in the Asian region is highly desirable.
  • Ability to inspire and educate around the importance of Quality awareness.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a projectbased environment to prioritise tasks in accordance with schedule.
  • Sound understanding of ISO 9001 Principles
  • Lead Auditor qualifications.
  • Previous experience in major projects will be highly regarded.
