About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a school culture that promotes positive relationships between students and between students and staff, and engaging parents and the wider community in the educational work of the school.

As a key member of the school leadership team, the Principal will be responsible for driving academic excellence and improving social and emotional development for students. This will involve developing and implementing innovative strategies to engage a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school.

The Principal will possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program, particularly the pedagogy of beginning teachers. They will also build networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community to benefit school programs.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a range of skills and qualities, including:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program
  • Ability to build networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The successful applicant will also be required to provide a 4-page statement addressing the selection criteria, in context of the role and business needs of the school.
