About the role

As a supporting role the Administration Officer

  • Allied Health & Specialists will ensure patients accessing the Allied Health and Specialist Services are scheduled and confirmed before arrival to appointments. This role is imperative to providing ongoing comprehensive health care for our patients.
Duties

  • Follow processes to achieve high booking and attendance rates for multidisciplinary service provider appointments.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure all future referrals to allied health specialists are in place for further care if required.
  • Monitor Allied Health and Specialist clinics accounts payable for billing and reconciliation.
  • Ensure appropriate handling of Allied Health referrals and patient correspondence in accordance with ATSICHS Brisbane Privacy Policy and Procedures.
  • Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through the use of LogiQC Quality Management Systems.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Skills and Experiences:

COVID - 19 Requirements

  • Immunisation history showing evidence of uptodate COVID vaccinations.
Essential

  • Certificate III Administration.
  • Previous experience working in an Allied Health and Specialist Administration Support Role.
  • Previous experience working in a Medical Administration Support Role.
  • Previous experience in working with culturally diverse people.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
  • Sound knowledge of Allied Health Services.
  • Sound knowledge of Specialist Services.
  • Sound knowledge of Medical Administration Processes eg referrals, booking patients, scanning confidential records.
  • Sound knowledge of MBS.
  • Please note that it is a genuine requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
Desirable, but not mandatory

  • Previous experience in MMEX.
  • Previous experience of working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander clients.
