Allied Health Administration Manager

- The AH Administration Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and coordination of AH Administration Services to meet the current and future support needs of AH facility wide service demands and challenges. The position is accountable for providing strategic development, refinement, implementation and evaluation of continuous quality service improvement strategies for AH administrative services.
- The incumbent will be a key member of the Allied Health Management Team, providing high level administrative support and advice to the professional directors and staff. This position will manage and coordinate the daily functioning of the Allied Health department to deliver client focused management and achieve a high level of performance in the dynamic Allied Health environment.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically operationally manage an administrative support service within a complex and diverse multidisciplinary environment, including the ability to provide confident leadership, professional supervision, development, and guidance to administrative support staff.
- Demonstrated change management skills and an ability to initiate new strategies in a continuous Quality Improvement Environment, while leading a team to ensure the achievement of work unit goals and maintaining high levels of motivation and effectiveness.
Administrative
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Health's' common office software programs, required practices and guidelines along with other patient information systems in order to fully utilise these systems/practices to improve resource management.
Communication
- Demonstrated high level negotiation and consultative skills within a multidisciplinary environment as well as the ability to produce quality written submissions/reports to management in a timely manner.
Human Resource Management
- A knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Queensland Health Policies and Procedures in relation to Human Resource Management, including equal employment opportunity, antidiscrimination, occupational health and safety, industrial relations and ethical behaviour.
