About the Role

  • Provide a range of individual patient interventions as delegated by the allied health professionals (AHP) and work under the direction of AHPs. The AHP determines tasks the Allied Health Assistant is competent to perform. Prepare and /or implement individual or group treatment programs for patients under the supervision and direction of the therapists and report on patient performance as required.
  • Assist with the personal care, manual handling and transport of patients. Undertake the transport, set up, monitoring and care of clinical equipment, therapy material, educational resources and assistive devices.
  • Actively contribute to the multidisciplinary team though team meetings, case conferences and other team projects/activities.
