Client Details

The business is an Australian Owned success story manufacturing a range of structural steel products delivering into trades and home builders. After a recent major expansion the business requires a Operations Manager to drive efficiencies, reduce waste and implement effective production and process planning.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Operations; the Operations Manager will control all site operations covering production and manufacturing, processing, transport and warehousing. You will create and deliver world class products and specifically will:

-Manage the team of 60 in production and logistics across the 3 business units on site
-Manage, lead and develop the 4 Management reports across production, warehousing and transport
-Drive a true safety and continuous improvement culture to ensure DIFOT and maximum customer satisfaction
-Ensure accurate production planning and scheduling, focus on inventory on site and right first time production
-Devise and implement waste reduction programs and identify areas of opportunity regards increasing output

Profile

You are a proven Manufacturing/ Operations/ Plant Manager with your experience gained from a metals, fabrication, steel or building product manufacturing environment. You will have likely grown from the shop floor up and be able to evidence having led a fast paced manufacturing operation. You will have managed at least 50 staff in operations (having led both outbound operations in addition to manufacturing) and have implemented CI And waste reduction programs. You will hold particular expertise with production planning, continuous improvement and be able to evidence implementing best class process and developing high quality leaders beneath you.

Job Offer
