About the Role

This position plays a key role in the Infrastructure and Operations division, working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

This position is accountable to the General Manager Engineering and Asset Infrastructure Planning and will be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community, growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability, and reshaping how we deliver services to maximize value.

About You

Our ideal applicant will have:

  • Minimum Trade qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council
  • Basic asset management skills in water and waste asset types, including asset renewal and maintenance strategies, concepts, theories, techniques, and principles
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems, including Microsoft Office suite and Business Management Systems
  • Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs
  • 2 years of working experience in a similar role
  • Current Queensland "C" class driver's license
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Council policy, procedures and practices, relevant legislations, codes, and guidelines relating to the Queensland Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards, as well as industry codes of practice and other associated legislation and codes relevant to the position
