About the role


Reporting to the CEO, as Business and Financial Services Manager you will be responsible for all financial and management accounting and reporting, and management of payroll for the organisation.

This role will offer you the opportunity to- Work at the strategic level with the CEO and Board

  • Contribute to mission delivery as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Manage and mentor one direct report (Finance Officer)
  • Add value with your analytics and reporting skills and
  • Involvement in business improvement and system implementation projects

About you
You and your peers would describe yourself as having a positive and proactive approach with a "can do" attitude.

You will have a strong business acumen, highly developed financial management, ability to develop and implement new financial systems, experience working with and supporting a dynamic and diverse team including capabilities to train and develop the broader team in budget and reforecasts.


  • We are also looking for:
  • A degree qualification in Accounting
  • 5+ experience in an Accounting or Finance Manager position or equivalent
  • Strong reporting and analyst skills (Excel)
  • Membership of a professional body, such as CPA or CA ANZ
Ideally you have worked in a not-for-profit environment before or have a passion to do so

Additional Requirements for this position:

  • Current Statebased Working with Children Check
  • Some inter / intra state travel may be required
