THE ROLE

Macquarie University Information Technology (MQ IT) aligns with the university's mission of being bold, distinctive, progressive, and transformational. We pride ourselves on collaborative partnerships and efficient service delivery across the university's education, research, and health portfolios.

Application Services is tasked with managing ongoing activities related to applications, platforms, and technologies within MQ IT.

  • Software development for enhancing existing solutions and creating new ones
  • Provide technical development and support for applications
  • Create and maintain support documentation
  • Analyze and implement upgrades for applications
  • Resolve support issues following business SLAs
  • Document requirements and solutions for knowledge management
  • Create technical specifications and operational support documents
  • Generate reports to improve operational performance

About You

Seeking an experienced IT professional with expertise in a relevant business domain or technology stack. Must have IT service management knowledge and experience in enterprise environments. Effective communication skills are a must.

Required technical skills:

  • 5+ years of software development experience with a proven business impact
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, Javascript, and RDMS/SQL
  • Desirable experience in PHP, Moodle, AWS, and/or Azure
  • Knowledge of identity and access management tools like Okta
