Reporting to the Chef, your role is to ensure our students, staff and guests have the opportunity to enjoy their meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with excellent food service and quality.

Roster:


• Evening shifts Monday to Friday and also two lunch shifts (25+ hrs per week)

Responsibilities include:


• Assisting with food preparation e.g. peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches & salads


• Friendly customer service


• Plating and serving meals to our diverse customers


• Washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining kitchen & dining areas


• Assisting with preparation and service of functions and conferences


• Maintaining food hygiene, security and safety practices

Key attributes required:


• Previous experience assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations and service


• Ability to organise work with other team members and take direction


• Reliability and availability for various days and hours


• Motivated and enthusiastic


• First class food safety practices


• Ability to comply with OH&S and food safety practices


• Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak service periods

Please note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a working with children clearance before starting employment.
