We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Services Assistant to join our team at Southern Cross Care. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to residents, visitors, and functions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and dispatching of meals, ensuring a high standard of food and service while observing safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Undertake general kitchen duties, including cleaning and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow Food Safety and HACCP standards and Southern Cross Care policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in collaboration with the Chef/Cook.
- Accurately maintain relevant records related to the catering services, including the monitoring and recording of temperatures.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has a strong commitment to quality and safety. The successful candidate will have experience in the preparation, delivery, and serving of meals, good communication skills, and a good level of English literacy.
Barista experience is preferred but not essential. If you are a team player who is able to work under supervision and meet deadlines, we would love to hear from you.
