Supported by a fabulous HR Coordinator, and reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll drive HR and initiatives associated with the entire employee lifecycle.

As a member of the hotel executive your brand of leadership will inspire and promote a positive team culture whilst ensuring colleagues deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the Crowne Plaza brand to life.

Working closely with our people leaders, you'll be coach to the General Manager and leadership team on all people-related issuesand they love it

Your Day to Day

  • Coaching and developing our people leaders
  • Overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues
  • Ensure the hotel has the right people, in the right numbers, with the right skills, working the right hours to deliver awesome guest experiences
  • Managing the systems and relationships to ensure our people are paid correctly and on time
  • Managing and promptly resolving staff queries related to everything from payroll to workplace relations
  • Coaching managers to resolve performance issues and workplace incidents
  • Plan and manage initiatives related to the HG people calendar such as celebrations, recognition, engagement and wellbeing
  • Developing and managing the role out of training initiatives
  • We work as a team and every now and then you'll find yourself somewhere in the hotel getting to know the business at an operational level.

About you

  • Min 3 years' experience in a senior HR Role this role could well suit an experienced BP working in a larger organisation, looking to take on an HRM role.
  • Welldeveloped coaching skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, underpinned by a mature EQ
  • Developed business acumen to understand budgets, forecasting, workforce planning and customer satisfaction
  • Refined judgement, reasoning, relationship, and critical thinking skills
  • An inquiring mind, with a willingness to ask the hard questions and try new things
  • You have full working rights in Australia
