About the role
The
Early Years' Service Excellence Lead is a strategic role within the Early Education and Care Services (EECS) unit. We are looking for a future focused, advocate for innovation and continuous improvement and commitment to pedagogical excellence.
You will lead the strategic direction of the unit while inspiring high expectations for all, driving positive change and supporting the development of a strong and robust early years unit with dual focus on practice and policy uplift.
You will provide a mix of strategy and practical supports to the kindergarten services to support the translation of theory into practice, utilising your skills in pedagogy, coaching and leadership to drive curriculum improvement at all levels.
You must have the ability to analyse and interpret policy, develop strategic plans and shape service excellence in line with Council priorities, relevant legislation and contemporary early childhood program and practice.
What you'll deliver

- Ability to deliver multisite pedagogical improvement initiatives
- Outstanding reports and documentation including workplans, program proposals, evaluations, and research
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Teacher with experience in Early Years
- Proven experience leading pedagogical strategy including universal and targeted strategies at scale in an integrated and coordinated way
- Proven experience in leading evaluation and continuous improvement activity
- A track record of delivering capacity building to a diverse workforce and demonstrating an understanding of adult learning principles and the neuroscience of learning
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, change management, leadership, and stakeholder management within the Early Years Sector.
- Understanding and ability to translate the requirements of the National Quality Framework and contemporary early childhood frameworks into clear unit policies
