YOUR NEW JOB

Your new finance team has grown significantly over the last 12 months. Half of the team is new, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives, while the other half has been with the business for 10+ years, providing a wealth of knowledge and business intellectual property. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the business with your responsibilities including:

  • Collaborating closely with the Capital Team and four Business Unit Managers, managing a combined revenue of $185m. This includes custom builds, new builds, overhauls, engineering equipment, and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing financial insights and advice to support decision-making processes.
  • Analysing financial data to tell a compelling story, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
  • Managing 1-2 direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and contribution to the team.
  • Navigating and improving challenging systems, currently reliant on manual processes and spreadsheets, with an upcoming transition to a new ERP system.

YOU

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role, ideally within a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Comfortable working with evolving systems and processes, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
