What you'll be doing
To collaborate with the merchandise and wider business functions to meet financial targets through assortment strategy, pricing and effective sourcing of products that best fit the Freedom criteria of design, quality and value.
- Develop and present product strategies to meet Freedom's financial sales and inventory targets.
- Conduct weekly business reviews to provide department actions to leverage opportunities.
- Present assortment analysis and conduct range reviews.
- Establish and manage supplier relationships to encourage the highest level of performance and commitment between both parties whilst achieving competitive buy prices and product quality to meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
- Work with overseas and local suppliers to develop samples and approvals of new products including pre-production samples, labels and packaging.
- Collaborate with the Planning team to optimize inventory through our Open to Buy process, promotions, and markdowns.
- Partner with the Quality team to ensure all products satisfy Freedom Quality specifications and compliance needs.
- Provide all relevant information to ensure Range plans, Product Development Tracker, New Product Introduction, STR process is accurate and completed on time.
- Maintain the Support Centre Product Room
- Develop and maintain Product Information Sheets
About You
- 5+ years in a Buying, Category or Product Management role.
- Experience in hardgoods furniture is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights.
- Experience in supplier management.
- A track record of driving product strategies to drive sales.
- A passion for beautiful things for our customer homes.
