Join us in advancing your career and shaping the future of software assurance at scale. The Senior Technical Program Manager position is an individual contributor role that reports to the PMO Director within a matrix structure.

Key Responsibilities

Are you passionate about large-scale services and engaging with some of Oracle's most significant clients? We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for our Software Assurance program.

The Senior Technical Program Manager will oversee extensive, global, high-impact initiatives, primarily concentrating on software assurance in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. You will serve as the integration point for software development, software assurance, and cloud infrastructure teams. Your technical expertise will enable you to engage in discussions regarding mobile application development, operating systems, and their intersection with software assurance requirements. This role entails managing the overall program and cross-functional teams, addressing risks, issues, dependencies, and conflicting priorities to ensure successful outcomes. The program operates within a globally distributed matrix organization and is characterized by its rapid pace, requiring adaptability.

You are a self-driven, technically adept individual with a strong commitment to delivering results. You possess ambition tempered with humility, recognizing opportunities for growth and valuing feedback from colleagues to elevate your performance. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing intricate programs, and empowering your team to excel.

In this role, you will collaborate with a global team across various time zones in a dynamic environment. You should be capable of scaling your efforts and have a strong desire to rapidly acquire new knowledge.

A robust technical background is essential for this position. You should have demonstrable experience working closely with technical and operational teams, including architects, software developers, researchers, security analysts, site reliability engineers, data scientists, and mobile engineering teams. A background in software assurance and application security is highly advantageous.

A strong sense of ownership, drive, and the ability to work independently are required. You will be expected to maintain a comprehensive view of the program, lead cross-functionally, and ensure the delivery of quality outcomes within established timelines.

You will oversee the development and implementation of a software assurance program involving departmental and cross-functional teams focused on delivering new or existing products. Responsibilities include planning and directing schedules, monitoring the program from initiation through delivery, and organizing interdepartmental activities to ensure timely completion.

Your Contributions

· Manage intricate global programs and projects from inception to completion within a highly matrixed organization, overseeing the roadmap and delivering results.

· Plan, schedule, and manage the execution of project activities for the software assurance team.

· Develop iteration work plans with input from various technical teams, including application security, mobile, cloud applications, and security teams.

· Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders and technical leads to identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.

· Monitor work progress and create status reports tailored to different audiences.

· Develop and maintain agile boards, Jira issues, and Confluence documentation.

· Drive timely project outcomes by focusing on deliverables, identifying dependencies and obstacles, and taking ownership to resolve impediments for the delivery teams.

· Mentor project team members and peers, leading through influence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field. 8+ years of relevant experience in program and project management. 5+ years of experience leading complex technical/engineering programs in Cloud or Mobile applications or Security Research. Proficiency in managing all phases of the software development life cycle. Experience managing cloud-based projects. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings, document minutes and action items, and drive tasks to completion. Schedule awareness – ability to communicate priorities and sequence project work effectively. Capability to manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams across various time zones. Proven ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with various organizational levels. Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
