The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Officer to join our team. This is a permanent part-time role which can be based in our Bella Vista office.


Reporting to the Senior Manager - Quality and Compliance, you will support organisation compliance with the regulatory requirements for authorisation, reduction and elimination of regulated restrictive practices in NSW, organisational complaints resolution, and mandatory reporting obligations and assurance activities to regulators.


The Quality and Compliance Officer will also support organisational compliance through the preparation and coordination of documentation and other relevant actions to adhere to both internal and partner Compliance Frameworks.


In addition, the Compliance Officer will support the business with the utilisation, update and review of Ability Options systems including the Quality Management System and support the organisational development of human rights-based approaches including accessibility, inclusive governance and supported decision making.

The compliance officer will support the implementation of the Ability Options Practice Framework as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong computer, technical, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated planning and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think laterally and balance competing demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to liaise effectively with participants, customers, external agencies, government departments and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance
  • NDIS Worker's Check and Working With Children Check
  • Knowledge of and commitment to child safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Covid19 Vaccination evidence (minimum 2 doses)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in either a disability or employment services compliance role.
  • Working knowledge of Regulated Restrictive Practice regulatory requirements in the disability sector.
