About the role


We are seeking a dedicated Case Manager for our Salvation Army Supported Housing Program You will provide specialist support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or in housing need.

Responsibilities include

  • Provide individual client driven case management in areas of need
  • Individual case plans are independently developed in collaboration with clients
  • Clients are assisted to access appropriate support services and establish community supports
  • Progress of individual case plans are regularly monitored and where needed action is taken to ensure the plan
  • Contribute to building a strong culture in the wider homelessness stream in Tasmania
This is a fixed-term full-time position, contracted for 6 months from start date, based in New Town, TAS. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.3 Award.

What you will have

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community services or related field OR
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge of housing and homelessness sector in Tasmania through previous appointments, service and study/development
  • Highly developed case management, case work and case planning skills
  • Knowledge of models of homelessness intervention
  • Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
