As Manager - Credit Risk Strategy, you will pay an integral role in building and maintaining credit risk strategies for BOQ Groups retail and commercial lending portfolios.

Through partnering with internal and external stakeholders (operational business and sales teams), including regulators (APRA, ASIC), external suppliers and credit bureaux, you will develop a roadmap for automated secured/unsecured credit risk strategies that are aligned with broader business goals.


Using your considerable knowledge in lending policies and processes, and proven experience in utilising credit strategy management tools and infrastructure, you will review all existing credit decision reporting to ensure fit for purpose, and design and implement new tools, processes and strategies as required.


About you

We are also looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the functions of Consumer Lending Credit lifecycle and Retail Credit Risk and Collections.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills using critical thinking techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and convey complex information.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in analysing data using statistical packages such as SAS, SQL, Power BI.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience.
  • Sound understanding of ASIC's responsible lending guidelines, APRA's credit risk framework and 3 lines of defence risk model and experience using decision engines including Probe, NBSM, Triad etc.
