Test Lead

Credit Union Australia is looking for a Test Lead to become an integral part of our team.

In this role, you will be tasked with executing and overseeing Credit Union Australia's Testing Strategy for your designated projects.

Your expertise will be essential in the development and execution of testing strategies for various initiatives, encompassing key responsibilities such as test planning, stakeholder engagement, reporting, test automation, resource management, and risk/issue oversight.

This position allows for flexible work arrangements, including the option to work remotely on certain days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, and manage a Testing Strategy for Credit Union Australia's strategic initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and enhance testing strategies and plans with supporting processes, methodologies, and metrics across both functional and non-functional testing phases
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement, strategy formulation, resource allocation, implementation, execution, analysis, and reporting for all testing activities
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the Testing Team, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery across System, Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Ensure that partners and third-party vendors meet Credit Union Australia's quality standards and that testing processes are aligned with the organization's protocols.
  • Oversee the defect management process and tools, ensuring the quality of reported issues and adherence to the established defect lifecycle, including ownership of defect triage
  • Provide stakeholders with comprehensive verbal and visual test reporting metrics reflecting relevant test development progress, execution, and defect status
  • Manage test execution across various project streams for multiple testing cycles and phases.
About You:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Test Manager/Lead, particularly in complex integration projects within the financial services sector
  • At least 5 years of experience in Testing within software development projects at both Test Analyst and Senior Test Analyst levels
  • Proven experience in directly managing Testing Teams with diverse resources across various testing disciplines, both onshore and offshore
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written documentation
  • Extensive experience in crafting Testing Strategies, Testing Plans, and related documentation
  • Broad experience across multiple software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in managing Vendors and ensuring accountability for quality
  • Proficient in planning, managing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Self-driven and proactive, capable of adhering to clearly defined plans or organizing your own workload to meet tight deadlines
