As the Senior Manager, Operational Risk and Resilience, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank's operational risk and resilience, business continuity, crisis management, and service provider governance.

This role offers the flexibility to work from home two days a week, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in Sydney and Brisbane.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain policies and standards to mitigate business disruption and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate response efforts and conduct regular testing of business continuity plans.
  • Develop and maintain policies and standards supporting service provider management.
  • Oversight of control design and implementation, recurring risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for APRA notification/consultation.
  • Represent the second line of risk in relevant risk forums, project working groups, and steering committees.
  • Challenge and oversee operational risks, and governance frameworks.
  • Analyze risk profiles, incident and issue data, and prepare insights for fact-based reporting on Operational Risk performance and activity across the bank.
  • Support the development of key risk management framework artefacts.

About You:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in operational risk management and/or resilience management roles.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various types of risks at a group-wide level, including operational resilience, business continuity planning, crisis management, service provider governance, or related fields within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders to communicate good risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
