About us

Join our team at Newcastle Private Hospital, where we have skilled surgeons, doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Our hospital offers a wide range of services and facilities, including multiple theatres, an Intensive Care Unit, a cardiac suite, a maternity suite, and an Oncology Centre.

As a key part of the hospital, our Administration team is responsible for managing patient and visitor interactions, handling bookings, health fund estimates, admissions, and inquiries.

This role involves a variety of front and back-office tasks, requiring flexibility to work various shifts throughout the week.

You will collaborate with the team and ward areas to ensure a positive experience for all patients and visitors.

As an Administration Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a busy reception desk
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Prepare admission paperwork
  • Perform Health Fund Checks
  • Manage payments
  • Coordinate with other departments
  • Complete clerical tasks

Essential Criteria:

  • Must be authorized to work in Australia
  • Working with Children check
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Team player with flexibility in shifts
  • Previous hospital administration experience preferred
