Your Role

As a Major Incident Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding technology services from disruptions and unforeseen service impacts by guiding response crews to swiftly, safely, and sustainably restore services.

This position presents a unique dual opportunity to shape strategy while leading operational responses to major incidents. In this role, you can anticipate taking charge of;

  • Leading the Response, Consolidation, Recovery, and Restoration phases of major incidents;
  • The delivery and oversight of Major Incident Communications;
  • Hosting Post-Incident Review procedures and steering the related change endeavors;
  • Collaborating with vital partners - Service Delivery Managers, Technical Incident Teams, Change & Problem Management crews to pinpoint and grasp process susceptibilities, change blueprints, and potential workarounds;
  • Tracking service quality provided by each Tribe, Squad, Platform, Chapter, and teams
  • Working with the Problem Management crew when root cause remains unknown during service restoration.

About You

The ideal contender will have a wealth of experience in IT Service Management with a proven track record in a Major Incident or Critical Incident Management position.

We are in search of a clear communicator and adept problem solver, capable of navigating through uncertainty in a composed and systematic manner to make data-driven, risk-aware decisions.

The capacity to swiftly identify and involve the right stakeholders, and lead a response team during a major incident will be crucial and highly valued for this position.
