Grants Officer


Shepherd of Egypt (SoE) is a not-for-profit organisation with a central focus on providing dignity, assistance and quality of life to the most vulnerable in Egypt.

Through our skilled volunteers and generation donations to SoE, we are able to provide hope, help and opportunity to those living below the poverty line.

We are looking for a Grants Officer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone to use their experience in grants management or procurement and or/project management, including negotiating grant activities and funding agreements.


We are looking for someone with;

  • Confidence in communicating.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • A flair for organisation.
  • The ability to work in an ever changing and complex environment.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working strategically with other teams to deliver effective and sound processes in Grants management.
  • Ensure Grant projects are on track to meet contractual requirements.
  • Participate in relevant project advisory groups and provide strategic advice and linkages to relevant stakeholders and information.
  • Liaising with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure grant activities are delivered on time.

Essential criteria;_

  • Demonstrated experience in grants management or procurement.
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to foster and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Confidence in preparing high level correspondence, briefs and reports.
  • Ability to travel (most likely one overnight trip every two months).

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
