The Environment & Planning Directorate are looking for an experienced Business Improvement Officer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis, in the Civic Centre, based in Hurstville. The main responsibilities in this role include undertaking projects, research and provide advice to effectively deliver the Environment and Planning Business Plan within the areas of strategy, leadership, customer experience, learning and development, financial management and internal business processes.

**Opportunity Details**
- Permanent, full-time role - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $91,750.72 to $106, 305.04 per annum plus 11% superannuation
- An opportunity for a 9 day fortnight

**Qualifications, Certificates & Licences**
- Qualifications in project management, business administration, organisational change, people management or related field
- Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence

**Essential**
- Demonstrated ability and experience in research, development and implementation of programs relating to business and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, develop reports and provide recommendations to ensure continuous improvement in operations and service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with the community and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with units and teams from across Council to deliver outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in communications with strong written, oral and presentation skills

**Desirable**
- Experience in Local Government
- Understanding of planning, development and the regulatory functions undertaken by local government
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of project management.
