About the role


This is a critical leadership role in our People Experience team, and our most senior safety position in the business.

Based out of our new home in Cremorne, you will lead a safety first culture throughout Reece Group, mentoring our leaders in risk and safety leadership principles and practices.

You will drive an industry leading safety framework, designed for continuous improvements and uplift.

Recognised for your abundant safety expertise you will consult to the leadership team on relevant strategic, operational and risk management matters.


Leading a team of safety specialists, you will role model professional and respectful leadership, knowing that as a leader what you do and how you do it is vitally important in shaping the culture of the team and the business.


About you

  • Experience in senior HSE roles in a multisite and complex environment, with strong relationship building skills with all leaders, but importantly with operational leaders and the ability to walk in their shoes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and enrol leaders and teams in the safety vision and programs
  • You are a forward and strategic thinker with the ability to relate to all levels, being able to lift your vision and thinking as forward and visionary thinker with a pragmatic lens on what makes the greatest difference
  • Ability to simplify complexity so as all levels are engaged and understand, whilst ensuring the risk of being bogged down in detail is minimised
  • Collaboration and engagement both within the safety team and People Experience team, and the broader business
  • Mentoring and Coaching at all levels, with excellent influencing skills, to create and maintain high performing teams
