The Role
Ventia is a leading maintenance service provider supporting the Australian Defence Force. Ventia are currently seeking a Storeperson to join our South Australian team.

The responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting stores tasks, including account management and stocktakes.
  • Unload goods and check them against order forms.
  • Catalogue or label items with storage details.
  • Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists.
  • Move heavy packages using forklift machinery.
  • Assist with maintenance record keeping and documentation.
  • Operating plant and machinery as required to perform stores tasks.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Site Supervisor or JLU Manager consistent with the employee skill and competence level.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a technically related workplace. (Trade Certificate highly regarded)
  • Store, Warehouse, Distribution experience. (Highly regarded)
  • Possess a current Australian State or Territory licence for operating forklifts. (required)
  • Possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's Licence. (required)
  • Possess a current State open Driver's Licence for Medium Rigid ("MR") classes of vehicles.
  • Welldeveloped computer skills in Microsoft Suite. (Defence systems knowledge highly regarded)
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
