About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a Configuration Controller to join our Red Ochre Autonomy and Sensors (ROAS) business unit based at Edinburgh parks, SA, reporting to the Project Manager - Wedgetail.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working
You will be responsible for the administration of the day to day configuration management tasks required to ensure that data, parts, software and documents are maintained in our Windchill system. With primary responsibility for receiving and delivering technical material.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- The primary contact for registering, storing, updating, retrieving and issuing of technical project material.
- Communicate with the configuration management team, identify issues and effectively raise them, with senior staff and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that data and documentation related to a product is captured in the configuration management system
- Monitor the change control process and assist in processing engineering changes and affected configuration documentation
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of configuration management data deliverables to the customer
- Communicate with customers and suppliers in relation to the receipt, delivery and acknowledgement of engineering artefacts
- Preparation of configuration management baselines as well as preparation of material for major project review and milestone activities
- Production of reports, master record indexes, build state declarations and similar
- Identify and investigate configuration management problems and formulate strategies for their resolution
- Maintain and update related plan and procedures

About YOU
- You are a methodical person with the ability to organise and coordinate the intricacies of data management confidently
- You have well-developed literacy in computer usage including highly developed skills in standard Microsoft Office software and relevant expertise in use of large computer systems and databases
- Demonstrated configuration management experience in a production/engineering environments or a technical role involving configuration management
- Experience in the use of configuration management tools and associated databases
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Ability to use your exemplary communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and other project stakeholders.
