About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team at the Department of Defence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering outputs that support the development of aircraft systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing aerospace systems, including flight test instrumentation and aircraft stores compatibility flight clearances.
  • Providing on-site engineering and technical expertise to support customers.
  • Planning and executing aerospace air and ground verification and validation activities.
  • Providing technical advice, analysis, and recommendations on aerospace systems.
  • Conducting technical investigations and providing recommendations to engineering management.

AWE SQN is a leading Defence unit operating as a DASA Approved 21J Design Organisation. We are dedicated to providing specialist engineering designs and expert advice in areas such as:

  • Aircraft instrumentation and specialist aerospace system support.
  • Specialist air weapons and stores advice.
  • Electromagnetic compatibility and radio frequency analysis and advice.
  • Aerodynamic modelling, weapon danger area, and safety assessments.
  • Rapid prototyping and mechanical/electrical component and systems manufacture.
