Our Queensland Government client is seeking to engage a
PMO Documentation Specialist.

You will provide support to the PMO Leadership team to review, update, and implement several guides, handbooks, and associated templates, registers, and documents to assist with the delivery of projects across the Health Capital Division.

This is an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend, based in Brisbane's CBD.

The PMO Documentation Specialist will:

  • Review, update and implement PMO policies, procedures, guides, handbooks, and all associated documents as directed by and in conjunction with the PMO Leadership team.
  • Liaise with senior departmental officers and other stakeholders concerning issues and decisions requiring attention to improve the service offering of the PMO.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff for improved work practices and implement and drive change as necessary, including negotiating at senior levels.
  • Participate in, lead, or monitor projects and activities as required by the PMO Leadership Team.
  • Participate in and influence Departmentwide initiatives and programs that affect the project delivery operations of the Division.
  • Coordinate and evaluate input into a range of integrated project activities from various technical, operational and policy contributors, to ensure congruency with the overall project delivery approach.
  • Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
  • Assist with the development, review and implementation of appropriate and innovative systems and processes to ensure effective delivery of projects and alignment with best practice.
  • Assist with identifying business and organisational improvements and drive change to achieve "best for project" outcomes.
  • Maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders including HHS clients and the Department.
  • Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, including communication and negotiation with executive level stakeholders, with a focus on building relationships and achieving project objectives.
  • An understanding of project management principles and how to use them.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in leading and working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and drive best practice systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set and revise priorities and achieve results within tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Extensive communication skills including written and oral communications, conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation exercises and management and presenting to groups.
  • Experience in the preparation of documents, templates, policies and procedures and the use of the associated software systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Vision, Adobe etc)
