NES Fircroft is partnered with a world leader in mining who is seeking an experienced PMO Specialist for an initial 6-month contract opportunity based in Brisbane CBD

In this role you will provide PMO services scheduling, planning, cost control, and information/document management to projects.

About the Role
Provide PMO expertise and support to project leads and other team members across PMO services scheduling, planning, cost control and information/document management.Facilitate progression of project schedules and project change requests through approval processes by proving quality reviews, advice and recommendations of schedule requirements to project managers.Support project managers with fortnightly progress updates and escalation of risks and issues.Produce project cost reports, comparing actual expenditure to plans/budgets and undertaking variance analysis.Develop reliable project expenditure estimates in conjunction with project leads for budget and forecast purposes.Provide training, coaching and support to project leads and team members on PMO requirements.Identifies and implements PMO improvement initiatives.Monitor project compliance to procedures and process requirements and work with project leads and Program leadership to resolve non-compliance issues.
About You
Minimum 3 years PMO experience.Ability to work as an effective team member as well as an energetic individual.Ability to execute tasks independently with minimal guidance. Great organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders.Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products.Ability to work to tight timeframes in a complex and demanding environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience in a program environment in a large global organisation.Experience using MS Project.Experience using SAP.Maintenance experience.Budget preparation and analysis experience.
