IT Systems Support Officer

The IT Systems Support Officer (Building Access System) role operates within the Information Management and Operational Systems (IMOS) division. The position has a dual role. The primary responsibility is to ensure the PTA's current Building Access System (Gallagher) performance meets operational requirements, whilst maintaining the highest levels of availability, reliability, integrity and security for PTA's employees and contractors. The secondary role involves working with IT Operations team to manage and maintain various enterprise grade IT systems.
In this position you will identify problem areas, propose and implement solutions to enhance the IMOS Systems and Services and contribute towards the review of working practices, improving processes and guidance documents for the PTA's Building Access System.
About you
We are looking for applicants with relevant IT desktop support experience. Applications must have comprehensive Windows Active Directory experience and have a good understanding of IT networking concepts. You will need good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Applicants must be adept at developing a rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability to achieve agreed targets and timelines through effective time management.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Considerable recent experience in an IT Desktop Support role Have a sound understanding of role based security Have a sound understanding of TCP/IP and general networking concepts. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in: Windows 10Windows Active DirectoryImplementing improvements to systems and process to enhance overall business outcomes.Adapting to new technologies processes, systems and willingness to learn new skillsPrioritising fault and maintenance activities within an operational context, including the ability to effectively manage stakeholder and stakeholder requirements.Contract management and supporting project works Good conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and data and provide reports relating to the findings.Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Experience with building management systems such as Gallagher or a similar type building management systemThere is currently one (1) full time fixed term position available for 36 months with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency. Initially this selection process will be used to fill the above vacancy, but it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the agency within the next twelve (12) months on a permanent or fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
